When replacing O-rings for carboy lids ensure you purchase the correct O-ring for your carboy.  O-rings come in different sizes to fit various carboys:

AMPI - 10mm thick - 245mm dia.

Atlas - 7mm thick - 270mm dia.

BMW/Rheem - 10mm thick - 190mm di.

Davis - 8mm thick - 245mm dia.

VB - 8 mm thick - 220mm dia.
